EXCEL WORKSHEETS AND PDF GUIDES

Choose a measurement example

Each Excel file includes editable inputs, live formulas and a drawing/scope register. PDFs explain the example and review steps. All examples use hypothetical inputs and represent educational resources.

How to use the library

Replace example inputs with the issued drawings. Keep different units and assemblies separate. Confirm rate sources, exclusions, document revisions and scope responsibility before any estimate is used for a bid.

Trace the measurement

Keep a sheet or schedule reference beside each work item. Document the measurement basis and revision rather than recording an unexplained quantity.

Expose missing inputs

Blank quantities and rates remain visibly incomplete. A zero rate is an explicit input; it should not be used to disguise an unavailable price.

Review project boundaries

Use the drawing register to capture missing documents, overlaps, exclusions and open questions. A formula cannot resolve a contract responsibility.
